Terms of Service

Effective date: October 26, 2026. This English version is provided for reference. If it differs from the Japanese version, the Japanese version prevails.

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") set out the conditions for using the Tekoo app and related websites (together, the "Service") provided by Verdent AI, Inc. ("we", "us").

Application and consent

  1. These Terms apply to everyone who uses the Service ("users").
  2. By registering an account, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
  3. If you are a minor, please obtain consent from a parent or other legal guardian before using the Service.

The Service

  1. The Service is a job-search assistant that uses AI to read the job emails you receive, organize them as job listings, and show how they compare with the conditions you set, including a daily report.
  2. We do not introduce or refer jobs, apply on your behalf, or send emails on your behalf. You apply and complete any other steps yourself on the original job site or by email.
  3. The Service is currently offered as a beta. We may change its features and specifications without prior notice.

Accounts

  1. You register using an Apple, Google or LINE account.
  2. Each person may hold only one account, and you may not let others use, transfer or lend your account.
  3. You are responsible for managing your account. We are not liable for losses caused by inadequate management, except where we act intentionally or with gross negligence.

Email connection and forwarding

  1. You may bring into the Service only emails you have received yourself, by connecting Gmail or another service or by forwarding.
  2. The terms of some job sites and recruitment agencies restrict forwarding emails or disclosing them to others. You are responsible for checking and following the terms of each service.
  3. You can disconnect your email at any time.

AI results

  1. Extracted job details, comparison results and other AI output may contain errors or omissions. Check the original email or job page before deciding to apply.
  2. The Service does not evaluate or guarantee your chances of being hired or your salary.
  3. You are responsible for decisions and actions you take based on the Service's output.

Fees

The Service is free during the beta. If we introduce paid features in the future, we will tell you in advance, and you will be charged only if you choose to use them.

Prohibited conduct

You must not:

  1. Violate laws or public order and morals
  2. Bring other people's emails, résumés or other information into the Service without their consent
  3. Register false information
  4. Infringe our or any third party's intellectual property, privacy or other rights
  5. Interfere with the operation of the Service, including overloading our servers or networks, unauthorized access or reverse engineering
  6. Collect data from the Service by automated means
  7. Provide benefits to anti-social forces
  8. Engage in any other conduct we reasonably consider inappropriate

Your data

  1. Rights in your résumé and other data you provide to the Service belong to you.
  2. You permit us to use this data as needed to provide and improve the Service. We do not use it for advertising or to train generalized AI models.
  3. We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

Intellectual property

Intellectual property rights in the software, design, trademarks and other parts of the Service belong to us or their rightful owners.

Changes, suspension and termination of the Service

  1. We may suspend all or part of the Service without prior notice for maintenance, failures, force majeure or other unavoidable reasons.
  2. We may end all or part of the Service. If we do, we will give reasonable advance notice.

Suspension and account deletion

  1. You can delete your account in the app at any time. See Delete your account for how.
  2. If you violate these Terms, we may suspend your use of the Service or delete your account without prior notice.

Disclaimer

  1. We do not guarantee that the Service fits any particular purpose or is free of errors or interruptions.
  2. We are not responsible for disputes between you and employers, recruitment agencies or other third parties.
  3. Except where we act intentionally or with gross negligence, our liability is limited to direct and ordinary damages actually incurred by you. This limitation does not apply where the Consumer Contract Act or other laws provide otherwise.

Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms under Article 548-4 of the Civil Code of Japan. We will announce the new Terms and their effective date in advance in the Service or on our website.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court has exclusive jurisdiction in the first instance over any dispute between you and us relating to the Service.

Language

The Japanese version of these Terms is the official version. The English version is for reference only; if they differ, the Japanese version prevails.
